The peccary project

To understand more about the remaining populations of white-lipped peccary we will be collecting information on their distribution in Intervales state park and Nucleo Caraguatatuba (Serra do Mar state park). The data collected will be used to evaluate how human and natural factors (e.g. altitude) influence the species (more on this in Norris et al. 2011, DOI: 10.1111/j.1469-1795.2011.00450.x).

Para entender mais sobre as populações de queixada estaremos coletando informações sobre sua distribuição no Parque Estadual Intervales e Núcleo Caraguatatuba (Parque Estadual da Serra do Mar). Os dados coletados serão usados para avaliar as relações entre influências humanas e naturais sobre a ocorrência de queixadas (mais sobre isso em Norris et al. 2011, DOI: 10.1111/j.1469-1795.2011.00450.x).
